<br />,Lt-:3 <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on December 16, 1980 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilman Allen Sorteberg <br />Councilman Gary Reimann <br />Councilman Arnold Cox (Absent until 8: 24 P.M.) <br /> <br />Members Absent: (Whole meeting) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilman David Mickelson (Due to illness) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Lloyd G. Schnelle, City Administrator/Clerk <br />Clayton Berg, Building Inspector <br />Pete Raatikka, City Engineer <br />Mr. Bill Goodrich, City Attorney (Absent until 8:00 P.M.) <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:32 P.M. <br />and lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec adjourned the Council meeting at 7:35 P.M. to call the public <br />hearing to order regarding the Revenue Sharing Budget for 1981 and the pro- <br />posed uses of those funds with the City's 1981 Operational Budget. <br /> <br />The meeting was reconvened at 7:39 P.M. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked the audience if any citizen had any input. There was not <br />any response from the audience. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Council approved of the agenda dated December 16, 1980 and of the addendum <br />to the Council agenda plus approved of adding the following item to the agenda <br />under Old Business that was brought to their attention by the City Administra- <br />tor: This pertains to Council's instruction to Lester Wirz regarding the <br />using of 5% in lieu of the 7% market valuation as recommended by Anoka County <br />when increasing market valuation in the City. It was noted to Council members <br />that the statutes pertaining to this was contained in Letters and Communications <br />of this agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Reimann ,to adopt <br />the agenda with the Addendum and also the additional item regarding the <br />Council's recommended 5% increase to market valuation in lieu of the 7% <br />market valuation as recommended by the County Assessor. <br /> <br />CjDecember 16, 1980 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />
