<br />... <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />1) Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of planning. <br /> <br />2) Extensive knowledge of laws and ordinances affecting the planning, de- <br />velopment, and zoning processes. <br /> <br />3) Thorough knowledge of economics, engineering, finance, sociology, and <br />other related subjects as applied to planning. <br /> <br />4) Ability to supervise and perform technical research on economic, en- <br />gineering, and sociological problems as part of the planning process. <br /> <br />5) Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to lay <br />groups, City officials, and the public. <br /> <br />6) Abili ty to organize and administer the functions of a planning depart- <br />ment. <br /> <br />7) Ability to analyze and supervise the systematic compilation of technical <br />and statistical information, and to prepare highly complex technical <br />reports. <br /> <br />8) Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with county <br />officials, other government agencies, citizens, and the public. <br /> <br />9) Graduation from a four year college or university, urban studies, or <br />related field; and 4 - 5 years experience in the field of zoning and <br />planning, including considerable supervisory and administrative ex- <br />perience. <br />
