<br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann and Sorteberg. <br />Voting no None. <br /> <br />CASE #7 PLANS FOR UPGRADING STATE HIGIDVAY #47 FROM 0.5 MILES SOUTH TO 0.5 <br />MILE NORTH OF C.S.A.H. #5 <br /> <br />Council held up discussion on this until Councilman Cox was present at this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />CASE #8 HEXOM REGARDING MOVED IN BUILDING WITHOUT PERMISSION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Administrator informed Council that the Planning and Zoning gave Hexom <br />until their rirst meeting in January, 1981 to come berore them with a site <br />and design plan showing how he proposed to treat the moved in box car which <br />will be used as an ofrice and how he will screen his merchanidse he has for <br />sale. Further, that he secure the proper permit. He is to have all the <br />above accomplished so that will be comingberore the Ramsey City Council on <br />January 13, 1981 to get approval. Council stated that they thought Hexom <br />was to have everything ready ror this meeting. They rurther didn't want <br />the legal proceeding to be stopped against Hexom. <br /> <br />CASE #9 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AID TO CITIES DISTRIBUTION <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle and Councilman Sorteberg discussed with the <br />Council about the meeting they attended with Governor Quie at his office at <br />11:30 A.M., December 5, 1980 in regards to local government aid to cities. <br />They stated that the rollowing persons were peresent at this meeting: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Governor Albert Quie, State of' Minnesota <br />Mayor Melvin Kaasa, Lake Crystal <br />Mayor Vetter, Skyline <br />Councilman Allen Sorteberg, Ramsey <br />Councilman Arnold Cox, Ramsey <br />Representative John Weaver, State Legislature <br />Representative John Clawson, State Legislature <br />Mr. Renner, Governor's Administrative Assistant <br />Mr. Steve Hintz, Legislative Assistant <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle stated that Mayor Vetter or Skyline delivered <br />the presentative to the Governor on the inequities or the present State <br />law regarding the distribution or State Aids and that the presentation was <br />well received by the Governor and the two legislators.. (Please rerer to <br />enclosure CD2-8) or Council agenda dated December 16, 1980 ror text or <br />Mayor Vetter's presentation to the Governor on December 5, 1980.) <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg and City Administrator Schnelle stated the meeting was <br />very productive in pointing to the Governor and our two legislators how un- <br />rair the present State Local Aid Formula is to Cities. <br /> <br />It was also requested that Council authorize the sending or thank you letters <br />to the following orricials: <br /> <br />Governor Quie <br />Mayor Kaasa, Lake Crystal <br />John Clawson, State Representative <br />Mayor Vetter, Skyline, 1Mnnesota <br />John Weaver, State Representative <br /> <br />CjDecember 16, 1980 <br />Page 5 <br />
