Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-07-163 <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER VACANCY <br />WHEREAS, Todd Marlette resigned from his Parks Maintenance Worker <br />position effective July 17, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has conducted an analysis and determined that there remains <br />a need to cover the duties associated with Mr. Marlette's position; and, <br />WHEREAS, after an analysis of the needs in the Parks Division and current and <br />future budget constraints, city staff is recommending that a seasonal worker be hired to <br />address immediate needs in the Parks Division for the remainder of 2009. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />The City Council authorizes staff to fill the parks vacancy for the remainder of <br />2009 with a seasonal worker and/or the Institution Community Work Crew <br />Program using an amount not to exceed $10,000. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor <br />Ramsey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
