Councilmember Dehen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-08-185 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE DUTIES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, the finance committee (previously known as the budget committee) was <br />established in 1991; and <br />WHEREAS, the role of the committee is to review and make recommendations to the <br />City Council regarding financial matters that may arise; and <br />WHEREAS, the finance committee will oversee the following matters that have a <br />financial impact on the City: <br />1. Current Year General Fund Budget -Proposed, Amended and Adopted <br />2. Capital Improvement Plan: Verify necessary funding sources <br />3. Capital Outlay Requests for Equipment that exceed $25,000 <br />4. Land Acquisitions-Other than those acquired via the EDA or HRA <br />5. Capital Projects-Municipal Buildings, Streets, Sewer Improvements, Storm Water <br />Improvements, Street Improvements, and Water Improvements <br />6. Unbudgeted General Fund Requests that exceed $10,000 <br />7. Bond Issues <br />8. Change and or creation of fund/investment/financial policies <br />9. Any other financial activity that has a significant financial impact on the city <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the duties of the finance committee as those <br />itemized above. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
