Councilmember Look recommended staff prepare a letter to the County stating the City was going to proceed with this improvement and if at some point in the future, the County does something with the street that the City be reimbursed for the cost of the improvement. Councilmember Dehen stated this recommendation had some appeal, but what happened when new leadership came in the City and/or County. Councilmember Elvig recommended grading, milling, and overlaying Dysprosium because he believed Dysprosium would become the new Highway 47 when the overpass in Anoka was put m. Councilmember McGlone stated Dysprosium needed repair and the City should use the least costly option to fix it no matter what the County did. Councilmember Elvig stated the Public Works Committee had addressed how to reduce the traffic, but the Committee had not come up with anything that had made sense. City Administrator Ulrich summarized the Council wanted staff to notify Anoka of intentions in advance of starting the project and the Council wants to improve the roadway so the neighborhood is improved. The consensus was to bring this back to Council with ideas and pricing options. 2) Discuss Meeting Dates for Council/Staff Strategic Planning Session City Administrator Ulrich stated the original date for the Strategic Planning Session was not going to work out. He recommended February 1 or February 8. Council chose Monday February 8 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. for the Council/Staff Strategic Planning Session.
