City Administrator Ulrich suggested going to the County Park Board and make a pitch
about this. Mayor Ramsey stated, "We will get on it - Councilmember Dehen will be .
there" .

4) Staff Relocation for Lease Space

. Management Intern Hendricks stated that staff has been meeting with Intereum, the
furniture and interior design firm for the City, to plan the staff move due to leasing space
and asked if Council has any comments.

City Administrator Ulrich pointed out that this move is necessary to accommodate the
County Licensing Center on the first floor.

Deputy City Administrator Nelson stated that we are moving forward with the Anoka
County lease. Weare close to a final draft of the lease agreement. We are working on
how and where to locate staff from first floor to second. She gave a brief overview of
how staff will be moving around. We can accommodate all this and are looking for
Council reaction to these plans. We will be asking for a proposal from Intereum to move
these things around and we should have some information next Tuesday.

Mr. Ulrich reported that the Mayor/Council office would stay where it currently is. We
did kind of "jam" people together and the reason for this is to ensure people are there to
respond when one comes to the counter. He added this does include a build-out of a
community conference room.

Mayor Ramsey stated we were talking about the area where the coffee pot is. Will we
have some type of area for a conference room.

Ms. Nelson stated these are the plans just dealing with the furniture. We will have
figures so Council will know exactly what the conference room will cost, etc. With
regard to the architectural process - we will be bringing this back to Council again soon.

Councilmember Dehen inquired if everything is well within budget to which Ms. Nelson
replied she did not have any numbers yet. Councilmember Dehen recollected that
Council authorized some costs to which Ms. Nelson replied yes - for design and that is
all within budget.

Mr. Ulrich inquired if there is any interest in re-doing the Council desk in the Chambers.

Councilmembers Dehen and Look objected to spending the money to do that.

Mayor Ramsey commented that Council looks ridiculous sitting at that desk.

Councilmember Elvig stated he has said that since the move to this Chambers.

City Council Work.
