Attachment C <br />ORDINANCE #10- <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 117 -614 (SUBDIVISION DESIGN <br />STANDARDS) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2 AMEND <br />Section 117 -614 of the Ramsey City Code is amended to include the following text (additions <br />indicated as underlined text): <br />117- 614(d) Public utilities <br />(1) Sanitary sewers and water facilities shall be installed in accordance with the standards and <br />specifications as required by the council and subject to the approval of the city engineer. All <br />Duplex Dwellings Single- Family Dwellings, Townhouse Dwellings, Twinhome /Quad <br />Dwellings, as defined by City Code, shall be required to have individual sanitary sewer and <br />water. When fire suppression systems are required by applicable law, each unit shall be <br />individually serviced by a separate fire suppression system. Joint facilities are strictly prohibited <br />in these types of dwelling units. For lots subdivided prior to and approved for such <br />joint services, these joint services shall be reviewed at the time of Building Permit issuance and <br />required to incorporate a design that would minimize the potential for frozen water lines and fire <br />suppression systems. Multiple (apartment or condominium ) Dwellings are exempt from the joint <br />service restriction. <br />(10) Duplex, Townhouse, Twinhome, and Quad Dwellings designed for separate ownership of <br />individual dwelling units shall be required to subdivide each unit separately through the City's <br />subdivision ordinance. Dwellings subdivided vertically, or stacked, are exempt from this <br />provision. <br />SECTION 3 SUMMARY <br />The following official summary of Ordinance #10 - has been approved by the City Council of <br />the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. <br />
