QRDINANCE #10- . <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY. THIS AMENDMENT RELATES GENERALLY TO THE FORM , OF <br />GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY ORDAINS. <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY: <br />This Ordinance is enacted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §410.12, Subd. 7. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br />A. Subsection 2.1 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Ramsey is hereby amended to <br />provide as written below: <br />CHAPTER 2 <br />FORM OF GOVERNMENT <br />Section 2.i Form of Government. The form of government established by this <br />charter is the "Mayor-Council Plan" as defined by current Minnesota State <br />Statutes. Except as otherwise provided by state statutes or this -charter, all powers <br />of the ciiy are vested in the city council. The form of government established by this <br />charter is the "Council-Manager Plan" as defined by Minnesota State Statutes. Except as <br />otherwise provided by law or this charter, all powers of the city aze vested in the city <br />council. The city manager shall be the head of the administrative branch of the city <br />government and shall be responsible to the council for the groper administration of all <br />city affairs. <br />2.1.1 The effective date of Section 2.1 shall be January 1, 2011. <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />This Ordinance shall become effective upon majority vote approval by the City's voters. <br />_21_ <br />
