Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #09-11-269 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF A PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION MEMBER <br />WHEREAS, on November 4, 2009, Amber Erickson, Park and Recreation Commissioner, <br />submitted a letter of resignation; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Erickson's current term will expire March 31, 2010 and her resignation <br />is effective as soon as a replacement can be appointed. <br />WHEREAS, in early 2009, the City Council conducted an extensive recruitment process <br />for several board and commission vacancies and Mr. Shane Bennett was selected as an alternate <br />for the Park and Recreation Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Bennett has indicated that he is still interested in serving on the Park <br />and Recreation Commission should a seat become available. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Ramsey accepts Amber Erickson's resignation from <br />the Planning Commission and appoints Shane Bennett to a term of November 25, 2009- <br />March 31, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Dehen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
