<br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood replied that there are some permitting issues that need to be <br />addressed as well as completion of the Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Joint City Council Meetine:s with Anoka & Nowthen Councils <br />City Administrator Ulrich requested input from the Council on possible dates for a meeting with <br />the City of Anoka and proposed a meeting on the second Monday in May, June, or July. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to meet with the City of Anoka on July 12. <br /> <br />It was also the consensus of the City Council to schedule a meeting with Nowthen officials in <br />late April or early May. <br /> <br />Concern about Flaherty and Collins - <br />Brian Peterson, 5194 147th Lane, appeared before the City Council and stated he recently learned <br />that the City is in discussions with Flaherty and Collins about building a 200+ apartment/condo <br />complex with first level retail. He expressed concern that fuis company was not a local company <br />and had apparently declared bankruptcy in the last few months. <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey clarified that this company did not file bankruptcy and Mr. Peterson may be <br />referencing a project in North Carolina that was not completed. He added the City is. open to <br />hearing from other companies about this. proj ect. <br /> <br />Councilmeinber McGlone stated that Flaherty and Collins operates in 13 or 14 states and owns a <br />large amount of real estate, and the company is in good financial condition.
