NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated December 8, 2009 <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated January 12, 2010 <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/BOARD BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Public Hearing Continued — Request for a Variance to Construct a Detached <br />Accessory Building Nearer the Front Property Line than the Principal Structure at 5161 <br />156 Lane <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Van Scoy called the public hearing to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Associate Planner Gladhill presented the Staff Report for the continued public hearing <br />Citizen Input <br />Raymond Renner, 6295 144 Avenue NW, stated they were required to put the well in its current <br />location by state regulations and is not sure how the trucks got in there. He continued there is no <br />way he would be able to get to the well if the accessory structure was in the recommended <br />location and believes this is a hardship. The rig is 45 feet long and will just barely make a city <br />cul -de -sac. It is difficult for them to get off road. <br />Discussion ensued regarding maintenance of a well, how often this would incur and reasons for <br />replacement of a well. <br />Chairperson Van Scoy questioned if the entire area blocked out on the certificate of survey was a <br />reasonable amount of space to reserve. <br />Mr. Renner stated that is the window of where we can put a well in, can't go too far east, or north <br />or too close to the building; have to keep it away from sources of contamination. <br />Chairperson Van Scoy clarified that this is not necessarily what is recommended, but is what is <br />available based on setbacks, etc. <br />Mark Hilliard, 5161 156` Lane, the applicant, explained his certificate of survey drawing and <br />reasons why the location he chose is the best. <br />Motion by Board Member Cleveland, seconded by Board Member Hunt, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Board of Adjustment/February 4, 2010 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
