INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS <br />nsey <br />after <br />eject BIDS will be received by the CITY OF RAMSEY (hereinafter called the "OWNER") at Ramsey <br />City Hall, 7550 ~Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, MN 55303 until Mazch 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., <br />and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. <br />Each BID must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to Tim Himmer, City Engineer, at <br />the City of Ramsey. Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the <br />outside as "Improvement Project 10-23, East Meandering Commons Park" and the envelope <br />should bear on the outside the name of the BIDDER, their address and license number if <br />applicable. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the BID must be enclosed in <br />another envelope addressed to the City of Ramsey. <br />All BIDS must be made on the required BID FORM. All blank spaces for BID prices must be <br />filled out in ink or typewritten and the BID FORM must be fully completed and executed when <br />submitted. BL{?S are required for all alternates, incomplete bid forms will result in <br />disqualification. Only one (1) copy of the BID FORM is required. The bidder must <br />acknowledge all addendums issued by the OWNER on the bid form: The project must be bid as <br />designed, any proposed deviations must be preapproved by the Engineer prior to Mazch 16, 2010 <br />and referenced by a project addendum; once, the bids are opened the bidder will be obligated to <br />perform all work consistent with the project plank and specifications, including addendums. <br />Once construction commences the Engineer (or their designated representative) must approve all <br />field changes before they are executed. • <br />The OWNER may choose from the base bid and any and all project alternatives, or portions <br />thereof that they feel aze in their best interest for a successful, cost-effective project at their sole <br />discretion. In addition, TIC OWNER may waive any informality or minor defects or reject any <br />and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of <br />BIDS or authorized~ppstponement thereof. Any BID received after.the time and date specified <br />shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within sixty (60) days after the actual <br />date of the opening thereof. Should there be reason's why the contract cannot be awarded within <br />the specified period; the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and <br />the BIDDER . <br />BIDDERS must satisfy themselves with the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the BID <br />schedule by examination of the site and a review of the drawings and specifications, including all <br />ADDENDA. After BIDS have been submitted, the BIDDER shall not assert that there was a <br />misunderstanding concerning the quantities of WORK or of the nature of the WORK to be done. <br />A mandatory pre-bid meeting is .scheduled of Ramsey City Hall on Friday, March 12, 2010 <br />beginning at 10:0 a.m.; ALL BIDDERS FOR CONTRA~'T A MUST ATTEND THIS <br />MEETING OR THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FOMBIDDING ON THE PROJECT. <br />The OWNER shall provide to BIDDERS all information which is pertinent'to, and delineates <br />and describes, the land owned and rights-of--way acquired or to be acquired. <br />TB Y <br />
