Deputy City Administrator /Community Development Director Nelson explained that with Council <br />approval on Tuesday night, it would be possible to have an ad out by Friday. She would like to <br />keep the recruitment open for one month, anticipates interviews in June and potentially having the <br />position filled by mid -July. <br />Member LeTourneau reiterated that the message from the EDA is that this position is a valuable <br />one, and it is critical that it be filled. <br />Member Look commented by saying that although this is not necessarily a good time to be <br />increasing salaries, it should be viewed as an investment and needs to be considered. <br />Discussion regarding the possibility of making this a bastalary p <br />ensued.
