Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br />PAID -ON -CALL FIREFIGHTERS <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief recommends hiring additional paid -on -call firefighters to <br />ensure adequate emergency response; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has requested that the Personnel Committee make a motion <br />recommending that the City Council hire the following four individuals as paid -on -call <br />Firefighters: Cory Helgoe, Steve Lundeen, Paul Reighard, and Rika Turnacliff, and <br />WHEREAS, these individuals would be hired at an hourly wage of $12.88 and would <br />begin employment on April 14, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, these individuals have successfully completed all background checks, <br />assessments, and medical exams. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Hire the following four individuals as paid -on -call firefighters: Cory Helgoe, Steve <br />Lundeen, Paul Reighard, and Rika Turnacliff. These individuals would be hired at an <br />hourly wage of $12.88 and would begin employment on April 14, 2010.
