JUL 7 '94 11:23 FROM PARR ENGINEERING TO 97651167 FRGE.Oc RESOLUTION #94 - RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING AUTHORITY TO APPLY FOR AND ADMINISTER BWSR LWRPMP CHALLENGE GRANT WHEREAS, the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) has established a program to provide funding through Local Water Resources Protection and Management Program ( LWRPMP) challenge grants; and WHEREAS, BWSR is choosing to require counties in the metropolitan area to apply on behalf of watershed management organizations wishing to participate in this challenge grant program; and WHEREAS, the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization ( LRRWMO) has requested that Anoka County cooperate with LRRWMO in order to enable LRRWM0 to apply for and administer grant funds under the program in lieu of the County; and WHEREAS, Anoka County has not been contacted by other watershed management organizations located within Anoka County regarding LWRPMP challenge grants which have an, application deadline of July l8, 1994; and WHEREAS, Anoka County is willing to assist the LRRWMO by means of a resolution transferring authority in order to enable the LRRWMO to submit an application for LWRPMP challenge grant funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anoka County Board of Commissioners that the County of Anoka does hereby transfer any authority it may have to the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization to apply for and administer the 1994 LWRPMP challenge grant in lieu of the County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners does hereby transfer to the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization any authority it may have to execute the 1994 LWRPMP challenge grant application and grant agreement for funding which may be available from BWSR on the condition that BWSR provide any challenge . grant funding directly to LRRWMO which will be responsible to administer the ftmdc received and to provide for any grant match funding required.
