LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />JANUARY 17, 1990 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Jim Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8:40 <br />a.m. in the Committee Room of Anoka City Hall. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Members present were Jim Schrantz, Pete Raatikka, and John <br />Weaver. Tom Mathisen was absent. <br />Engineering consultant Dean Skallman was also present. <br />DECEMBER MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to APPROVE <br />THE DECEMBER 13, 1989, MEETING MINUTES AS PRINTED. <br />3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Due to Mathisen's absence, no Treasurer's Report was avail- <br />able. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />Schrantz was in receipt of a bill from Barr Engineering in <br />the amount of $535.00 for the period Oct. 29 through Dec. 2, <br />1989, for the revision of water quality guidelines, review of <br />DNR correspondence, discussions with the Dept. of Health, and <br />meeting preparations and attendance. <br />Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to APPROVE <br />PAYMENT OF THIS $535.00 BILL FROM BARR ENGINEERING. <br />Skallman responded to Weaver's query on mileage charged to <br />the LRRWMO stating that they charge 30 cents per mile. <br />Weaver felt that it was an excessive rate considering that <br />the Metropolitan Council pays 24 cents per mile. Raatikka <br />stated that his engineering firm does not bill for mileage <br />when within the Metropolitan area. It becomes part of the <br />overhead. <br />VOTE: 3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />Members concurred that Skallman discuss the Lower Rum River <br />WMO's mileage cost concerns with his superiors and relay to <br />them that we would appreciate a roll back to the accepted <br />
