LRRWMO Meeting Minutes January 15, 1992 Page 4 Jankowski suggested perhaps this board should wait to get the comments back from the LRRWMO permit review, noting the City of Ramsey asked that some consideration be given to the fact that the preliminary plan was approved before the LRRWMO plan was approved. Jankowski went on to address the sedimentation areas. Schultz queried whether the catch basins were defined. Jankowski stated the city could probably put that in the plan. Jankowski went on to state that the point where they are discharging into the wetland is a kind of bay covered by wooded vegetation, not an open water wetland. He added that to provide a siltation basin would not make sense because it will be going through the rooted sedimentation basin any way. Schultz stated there is a possibility of creating a sedimentation build -up of the pond. Schrantz suggested the LRRWMO comment to the DNR should indicate there is a concern about velocity and ponding, and that the LRRWMO will continue to review this application under the LRRWMO permitting process. Jankowski indicated he had no problem with Barr Engineering's comments that additional information is needed about the outfall area as well as the size of the rip rap. Schrantz, Jankowski, and Schultz concurred the LRRWMO comment to the DNR will be this board will be making further review of this project through the LRRWMO permitting process. Erickson stated the concerns expressed by this board will be addressed with the LRRVJMO permit. #92 -6100 Members reviewed Barr Engineering's comments with regard to the City of Andover's proposal to extend Eldorado Street to County Road 116. Erickson queried, under the interim wetland policy, can enhancement be done. Schrantz stated this is a preliminary plat from last year. The city is reportedly trying to get egress from that plat in the direction they feel travelers will prefer to go. He indicated they propose to go through both DNR wetlands and Corps of Engineers wetlands. Schultz queried whether the county will allow this project to meet with County Road 116. Schrantz indicated he did not think that would be a problem. Schrantz stated the problem Skallman has was with the reloca- tion of wetlands. Again Erickson queried whether they can enhance existing wetlands. Schrantz felt they would have to wait and see.
