Case #1: Report from Ramsey Town Center Branding/Marketing Sub-Committee <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson updated the Commission on the Ramsey Town Center <br />Branding/Marketing Sub-Committee meeting held earlier this week. <br />Ann Berg, VyWay, reviewed the branding ideas and how the Committee got to those ideas. <br />Chairperson Dehen stated he liked "COR" better than "DRAW". He believed DRAW sounded <br />too southern. <br />Commissioner Ramsey stated he also liked COR better than DRAW, but he was not sure if he <br />liked either one that much. <br />Commissioner Wise stated he liked COR. <br />Ms. Berg stated with any brand name people needed to get used to before they fully accepted it. <br />Commissioner Elvig stated he liked COR, but expressed concern it might be too trendy. <br />However, he would like to reserve DRAW for a park name. <br />Ms. Berg noted the Commission also needed to be careful as to what they branded and what they <br />did not brand. She noted these needed to be careful and conscious decisions. <br />Motion by Commissioner Elvig, seconded by Commissioner Wise, to use COR as the new brand <br />name. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Commissioners Elvig, Wise, Look, McGlone, <br />and Ramsey. Voting No: None.
