The public hearing closed at 7:35 p.m. Council Business The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 7:35 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to introduce an ordinance to vacate certain drainage and utility easements in Wildlife SanCtUary. - Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, COok, Elvig, Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #3: Introduce Ordinance to Change St/'eet Names in Highlands at River Park and Highlands at River Park 2"d Addition;' Case of City of Ramsey Public Hearing Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. Presentation Community Development Director Frolik stated that in the recorded plats of Highlands at River Park and Highlands at River Park 2"d Addition, there is a NOrth Yakima Court N.W. on the north. side of 155'h Lane N.W. and a South Yakima Court N.W. on the south side of 1.554 Lane N.W. The Ramsey Police Department has received information from 911 Central Communications that prefacing Yakima Court N.W. with a 'north' and 'south' designation is problematic to their system and emergency responders. Consequently, Anoka Central Communications is requesting that the City take the necessary steps to eliminate the 'north' and 'south' preface from Yakima Court N.W. in Highlands at River Park. Changing a street name requires adoption' of an ordinance by City Council. City staff recommends approval of the proposed street name changes. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close hearing. the public Motion carried.
