by an interested party that would require the lift station to be installed to receive sanitary sewer <br />service to the property that they are interested in. Authorization to advertise for bids was ordered <br />on March 11, 2003, and bids were received Monday, march 24, 2003. The bids were as follows.: <br /> <br />· Hydrocon, Inc. $133,770.00 <br />· Penn Contracting, Inc. $149,060.00 <br />· J.R. Ferche, Inc. $160,665.00 <br />· CCS Contracting, Inc. $161,120.00 <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if the-funds were coming from TIF to which Mr. Olson replied <br />yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to approve Resolution <br />#03-03-078, awarding Project #03-21, Sunwood Drive Lift Station to Hydrocon, Inc. in the <br />amount of $133,770. _:. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, Elvig, Cook, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Adopt Ordinance to Amend City Code Chapter 8 (Building and Housing) <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the State will be converting from the <br />Uniform Building Code (UBC) to the International Building Code (IBC) at the end of the. month: <br />Municipalities with populations in excess of 2,500 must update their codes to reflect the change. <br />On March 11, 2003, the City Council introduced a self-perpetuating ordinance that is intended to <br />always reflect the most current edition of the State Building Code. A section was added to <br />confirm that the City will be requiring permits for re-roofing and re-siding jobs. City staff <br />recommended adoption of the self-perpetuating ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Ordinance #03- <br />03-08 adopting the Minnesota State Building Code. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig aye <br />Councilmember Pearson aye <br />Councilmember Strommen aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councilmember Cook aye <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Council/March 25, 2003 <br /> Page 13 of 16 <br /> <br />-16§- <br /> <br /> <br />
