City of Ramsey 2010 Adopted <br />General Fund Budget <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />Engineering -The Engineering Department is responsible for the construction administration of public improvement <br />projects, private improvement projects and site developments in accordance with city standards and good <br />engineering practices. The department is also responsible for the special assessment of public improvement <br />projects. <br />Street Maintenance -This function is responsible far the costs associated with the planning, organizing, and <br />coordination of the maintenance of the city street system. These costs include street sweeping, storm water <br />drainage and general repairs and maintenance <br />Snow and Ice Removal -All costs associated with the effective removal of snow and ice on city streets are <br />accumulated under this cost center. <br />Adopted- December 8, 2009 <br />-169- <br />
