Memo <br />DATE: Apri129, 2010 <br />TO: Ramsey Planning Commission <br />FROM: Community Development Staff <br />RE: Staff Update <br />CASE # ~-- <br />City Council Update. The following is a brief summary of actions taken in April that maybe of interest <br />to the Planning Commission: <br />Request for Site Plan Approval; Case of Allina Health System. The City Council approved the site plan <br />and associated conditional. use permit for the medical clinic on the corner of Ramsey Boulevazd (CSAH <br />56) and Sunwood Drive. The City Council also approved the Final Plat of Ramsey Town Center 14s' <br />Addition related to the site plan. <br />Consider Options for Land Use Designation of 18055 Roanoke St 1VGV Related to the 2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan Update. As part of the Metropolitan Council review, the City was required to <br />include the `in-holding' parcel of Rum River Central Regional Pazk as Future Pazk. The Metropolitan <br />Council commented on the draft plan that the Update needed to be consistent with the City's System <br />Statement and Anoka County Pazks (the regional parks' implementing agency for Metropolitan Council <br />in the azea). Upon discussing the Update with the properly owner, the property owner requested to not <br />reference the Subject Property as Future Pazk. The City Council denied a proposalto reference the parcel <br />as Future Pazk with an overlay district on the Official Zoning Map. City Staff will be working witk <br />Anoka County Pazks and Metropolitan Council staff in the coming weeks to further discuss the Subject <br />Property. <br />Requestfor'a Conditional Use Permit to Exceed the Total Amount of Accessory Structure.Square Footage <br />at-8700 171` Avenue NGI;~ Case of Rob. Schiller: The City Council approved the Conditional Use'Permit <br />for an overage of accessory structure space for Rob Schiller. <br />Adopt Ordinance to Amend Chapter 117 of the City Code to Increase the Required Depth of Topsoil to <br />Six (6) Inches. The City Council adopted the ordinance to increase the required depth of topsoil to six (6) <br />inches. <br />Adopt Ordinance to Amend Chapter 117 Article III to Require Individual Services anal Regulate the <br />Platting of Individual Units in Multi-Unit Residential Dwellings. The City Council adopted the ordinance <br />to require individual services and lots in certain multi-family dwellings. <br />Adopt Ordinance. to Amend Section 117-1 to (Definitions) Related to Off Street Parking. The City <br />Council. adopted the ordinance amending definitions related to recent amendments to the Residential Off- <br />Street Pazking Ordinance. <br />New Businesses to Ramsey! The Planning Commission may be interested to note that Acapulco <br />Restaurant is neazing completion in Northstar Mazketplace in Ramsey Town Center next to Caribou <br />23 <br />
