CASE # ~ , ~ ~ <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION OF IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #09-25 <br />DYSPROSIUM STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />B.y: Steven J. Jankowski, Assistant City Engineer <br />Background: <br />This project was initiated at the direction of City Council and has involved the Council and its <br />Public Works Committee beginning in April of 2009. Because a portion of the project cost is proposed to be special assessed, a <br />waiting period of 60 days beyond the date of the public hearing must elapse as specified by <br />Section 4.60.05 Sub.l of City Code prior to the Council ordering this project. This period <br />expired on May 9, 2010.. <br />Attachments <br />• Resolution 10-OS-XXX ordering IP 09-25 Dysprosium Street Improvements <br />• IP 09-25 Feasibility Study Revised Apri12010 <br />Financing: <br />The total project cost which includes new curb and gutter and pavement, sidewalk, storm sewer <br />replacement and expansion, street lights and boulevazd trees is estimated to be $672,911. The <br />City will fund $573,462 of this cost from its Municipal State Aid (MSA) account. The remaining <br />$99,449 shall be funded through special assessments to property owners with frontage along the <br />street consistent with previous Council direction. <br />Recommendation: <br />
