Animal Control <br />Five dogs were lodged at the Anoka Impound facility. Three were released to their owners and <br />two were euthanized. <br />Code Enforcement <br />Sixteen (16) administrative citations were issued for parking violations. Additionally, three (3) <br />administrative citations were issued for dog violations, eight (8) blight complaints, eight (8) <br />parking on landscape complaints, and one (1) home occupation complaint were received. <br />Crime Prevention <br />1. Safety Camp Planning -determine schedule and speakers, convert database, send out <br />requests for sponsorship, distribute flyers to all elementary schools in Anoka/Ramsey, etc. <br />2. Media - QCTV taping for promotion of bike helmet clinic and Safety Camp, media release <br />on leaving kids in hot cars and Keagan Flannery. <br />3. Bike Helmet Clinic -place order for helmets, send out media information, distribute flyers <br />in all elementary schools in Anoka/Ramsey <br />4. Daycare Background Checks -14 <br />5. Coordination of police/fire "safety recognition" for Keagan Flannery. <br />6. Night to Unite (N2U) -attended recognition breakfast for N2U at Coon Rapids PD put on <br />by the MN Crime Prevention Association. <br />7. False Alarms -Processed 36 false alarms. Updated database, ran stats and researched ways <br />to reduce false alarms. Review of 2009 unpaid violations. Notification to Penalty Box to <br />produce a plan to reduce their false alarm calls. <br />8. Safe Kids Anoka County -attended monthly meeting. Discussion on staffing for car seat <br />clinic in Ramsey and all bike helmet clinics. Inventory of old bike helmets. Discussion on <br />financials on donations to needy families. <br />9. Mayors' Prayer Breakfast. Attended planning meetings (2), assisted with setup, cleanup, <br />financials, and transported Ramsey program kids to breakfast and back to school. Receive a <br />Partner of Promise award. <br />10. Youth First -Attended monthly Board of Director's meeting. Assisted one afternoon with <br />after-school program at the center. <br />11. Police Department Internship -Interview possible intern <br />12. Business Registration Certificate (BRC) -case prep, update department keyholder <br />information for squads and city web site. <br />13. Burglary project -develop security audit forms for patrol to use for home/commercial <br />burglaries <br />2 <br />
