LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />September 16, 1993 <br />Page 10 <br />The Administrative Secretary noted this topic may be addressed at upcoming BWSR <br />sponsored seminars, and recommended the new secretary attend these seminars, if relevant. <br />Haas indicated he would contact the Coon Creek Watershed and ask how they are handling <br />these matters. <br />Board consensus was reached to direct the Administrative Secretary to prepare a mitigation <br />policy for the Board's consideration. <br />Status of Farm near Weigh Station Drainage Operation -Jankowski <br />Jankowski questioned the concern with the drainage operation. The Administrative <br />Secretary explained she was anonymously informed this site is currently being farmed and <br />the owner has installed a drain and electricity to pump the water into the river. She added <br />no permits have been requested. <br />A brief discussion was held regarding this site and whether it was within LRRWMO <br />boundaries/jurisdiction. <br />Board consensus was reached to direct the Administrative Secretary to send a letter to <br />Kathy Brehm, DNR, to inform her of this situation. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Receipt of DNR Permits <br />The Administrative Secretary reported the LRRWMO has not received any DNR permits <br />or reviews for several years. <br />Weaver commented they are probably being sent directly to Barr Engineering. <br />Board consensus was reached to direct the Administrative Secretary to send a letter to the <br />Tom Hovey, DNR, requesting they copy all DNR permits and reviews to the LRRWMO. <br />B,lvaws <br />Due to Schrantz (Chair) being replaced by Haas, the Administrative Secretary questioned <br />the need for amid-year election. <br />Haas explained he was appointed by Andover because they want to make sure the City stays <br />involved, but Schrantz would reassume representing Andover on this Board if he is able to <br />return in the future. <br />
