He further advised that first quarter
dues have been received from Andover, Anoka, and Ramsey.
Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to accept the Treasurer's Report for the
period ending February 28, 1995. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
PAYMENT OF BILLS
Knutson presented three bills for payment as follows: Timesaver Off Site Secretarial for
$213.50, Barr Engineering for $805.47 ($556.75 permits, $38.97 administrative, $43.25 WAC
Grant, Ramsey Wetland $166.50), SEH for $2,440.59, and Lake Monitoring $660.
Motion was made by Ferguson, seconded by Weaver, to authorize payment to Timesaver
Off Site Secretarial for $213.50, Barr Engineering for $805.47 ($556.75 permits, $38.97
administrative, $43.25 WAC Grant, Ramsey Wetland $166.50), and SEH for $2,440.59 as
presented. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
1995 Lake Monitoring Proms
Knutson advised that this is the same lake monitoring program as used in the past. The fee
is $220 per lake for Rogers, Itaska and Round Lakes. It was noted that Grass (Sunfish)
Lake is being monitored by the PCA.
Jankowski commented that the data from lake monitoring has been of tremendous value
when addressing ground water complaints. He noted that lake monitoring is one of the
stated LRRWMO goals; to provide data on water resources within their basin.
Jankowski stated he wants to be sure the PCA is providing lake monitoring information back
to Anoka County so it is available to member cities. He suggested Tony Brough, Anoka
County Conservation District, be made aware of who is monitoring Grass (Sunfish) Lake to
assure they also receive the data.
Motion by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to approve the Anoka Conservation District 1995
Lake Monitoring Program at a cost not to exceed $220 per lake for Rogers, Itaska and
Round Lakes with the understanding that Grass (Sunfish) Lake is being monitored by the
PCA. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
WETLAND BANKING DISCUSSION -BARBARA OHMAN. BWSR
Jankowski explained the LRRWMO has discussed various wetland banking options and how
to make it available to property owners. He advised one private land owner in Andover has
the opportunity to bank wetland but it appeazs the process is very difficult administratively.
