Councilmember Dehen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10-02-056 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING A PETITION FOR THE BITUMINOUS PAVING OF <br />CHAMELEON STREET NW IN THE SHAWN ACRES SUBDIVISION <br />WHEREAS, a petition requesting the bituminous paving of Chameleon Street was received by <br />staff on February 2, 2010 for the bituminous paving of Chameleon Street in the Shawn Acres <br />Subdivision; and' <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has verified that the petition has a minimum 35% support from the <br />property owners which would receive benefit from this project. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That a certain petition requesting the bituminous paving of Chameleon Street filed with <br />the City Council on February 26, 2010 is hereby declared to be signed by the required <br />percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in <br />conformity to Minn. Stat.429.035. <br />2) That the petition is hereby referred to the City Engineering department which is <br />instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a <br />preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost effective, and <br />as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other <br />improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Wise and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />none <br />and the following abstained: <br />none <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION #10-02-056 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
