Hakanson, P.E. <br />James M. Winter, R.L.S. <br />Lawrence G. Koshak, P.E. <br />Peter R. Raatikka, P.E. <br />We initially submitted the Gateway Airport Master Plan and ALP for <br />final approvals in October 1985. Subsequent to that submittal, a <br />tract of land became available and the City requested that we explore <br />an alternative alignment on that tract. <br />I notified Harry Nemec that we were undertaking that request. He <br />informed me that MN/DOT would then hold off on further review of the <br />final Master Plan and ALP. <br />We met with the Ramsey City Council on June 24, 1986 to discuss the <br />merits of both the Master Plan and alternative alignments. The City <br />Council approved proceeding with future work based on the Master Plan <br />alignment. The alternative alignment thus is no longer under con- <br />sideration. <br />We are hereby informing you of that decision to enable you to complete <br />your review of the ALP and Master Plan.
