Nowthen Boulevard <br />Ramsey, N,innesota 55303 <br />Re: Proposed Gateway North <br />Ordinance <br />Dear Mr. Hartley: <br />Industrial Airport Zoning. <br />Our law firm represents Waste Management of Dlinnesota, inc. <br />("WMMI"), the present owner-operator of the Anoka Regional <br />Landfill located in the City of Ramsey, Anoka County. WMMI would <br />like to file this letter in the official record of the July 29, <br />1987 hearing which the City Council will consider as it <br />deliberates on the adoption of the proposed airport zoning <br />ordinance. The following comments will summarize the reasons why <br />WMMI feels that the ordinance should not be adopted by the City. <br />By letter dated March 13, 1987 WMMI raised a number of <br />concerns with the proposed ordinance. A copy of that letter is <br />attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated by reference herein. We <br />are also aware that Anoka County has expressed concerns to the <br />City about the proposed ordinance. Attached as Exhibit 2 and <br />incorporated by reference herein is a copy of the County's <br />letter. <br />In addition to the concerns identified in the attached <br />letters, WMI would like to raise the following objections to the <br />adoption of the proposed ordinance: <br />1.
