separations with the railroad tracks to the southwest and with County Road #56
(Ramsey Boulevard) to the northeast while minimizing the use of developed
property in either approach area. The only platted property included within
either clear zone or safety zone are two residential lots and an outlot
(neighborhood park) in the extreme northern corner of zone B for the northeast
approach area. All other property within the crosswind runway's primary sur-
face, clear zones, and safety zones is zoned industrial but is undeveloped.
As before, the restriction of zones A and B will prevent or seriously limit
the development along the railroad tracks and the highway in the southwest
approach area.
The 7-25 crosswind runway alignment also prevents the extension of County Road
#116 directly west from its present intersection with Ramsey Boulevard.
Alternate #4
Alternate layout #4, as shown on Figure. 6, combines Primary Runway 13-31, as
positioned and oriented in Alternate #2, with Crosswind Runway 7-25 as used in
Alternate #3. The impacts associated with each runway's alignment are the same
as those detailed with its use on the previous alternates.
As with Alternate #2, Primary Runway 13-31 alone attains a wind coverage in
excess of 82 percent while the combined wind coverage of both runways is in
excess of 92 percent.
SITE #2
Alternate #5
A primary runway alignment of 14-31, the maximum wind coverage alignment, and a
16
