Previous studies have examined, to some degree, options for providing a new <br />general aviation airport west and north of the Minneapolis area. Due to the location <br />of possible sites in this azea (20 nautical miles or more) with respect to the <br />Minneapolis terminal azea, any location in the azea would be suitable for a reliever <br />airport from an airspace standpoint. Depending on the location of a site in this azea, <br />a study would be required to determine the impact on VFR or IFR operations at <br />Crystal or Anoka Cotmty-Blaine airports. It is anticipated that there would be no <br />VFR impact on these airports, unless the location of the new airport was within eight <br />to 10 miles of the existing airports. ]FR impacts would need to be assessed based <br />on runway orientations and recommended NAVAIDs. <br /> <br /> <br />t lxZ~ <br />
