November 12, 1971
Mr. Edward P. Vie
Federal Aviation Administration
6301-34th Avenue South
Minneapolis, Minnesota 55450
Dear Mr. Vie:'
The enclosed Forms 7480-1 pertain to a small, proposed Public
(privately -owned) Airport as described. While named an
"Industrial" airport and financed by the Anoka Industrial
Park, Inc. It's first stage will be only large enough to
accommodate small single and twin engine aircraft.
There is hope that it may eventually be expanded to some
32 to 3500 feet but this is not assured.
I have inspected the site and it will take a minimum length
(2500') landing strip with the required overrun and minimum
approach clearances.
I can see no liklihood of traffic conflict with existing
airports and if the proposed MAC "Baia Lake" air terminal is
ever built this airport will have to be reevaluated from the
traffio-conflict standpoint.
The proponents are well aware of this possibility. Anything .
you can 4p to expedite this, airspace decision will be • •
appreciated, as earth moving has been begun in order to beat
- the freeze-up.
•
Sincerely yours,
Ray Brown
Aviation Representative
RB: PG
Enclosures
