1
' RELATED EXPERIENCE
t Messrs. Koshak and Otto who will be assigned to various elements of
this project are familiar with the airport, both having worked on the
recent Airport Master Plan. Mr. Raatikka, who will be assigned to
' elements of the project currently serves as the firm's engineering
representative to the City.. Their familarity with-the community
airport site, soil conditions, constraints and overall development
' concept is a valuable asset enabling Hakanson Anderson Associates,
Inc. to proceed with the project in an expeditious and .efficient
manner.
' The following pages provide a brief outline of several of our key
personnels' past projects which we feel have provided us with
experience especially related to this project.- The majority of
airport projects we have worked on have been AIP (or ADAP) funded,
thus we are well versed with the process. While airport work is a
primary interest of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., our extensive
experience on municipal engineering projects also is indicative of our
' capabilities to perform well on a wide variety of continuing
assignments.
1
1
1

I~

Gateway North Sndustrial Airport (state/local)
Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has completed the Airport Master
Plan Study for the City of Ramsey. The study assesses the technical
feasibility of development and desireability of the City's acquiring
and improving the current privately owned airfield. Study elements
include alternatives evaluation, development of the Airport Layout
Plan, environmental overview, development staging and preliminary cost
estimates. Follow on work included the application for entry into
the National Plan of Integrated Airports System (NPIAS) and possible
alternative runway alignment.
Devil's Track Airport - Cook County Minnesota
The Master Plan Study for this airport addresses the upgrading of the
existing paved basic utility runway (60' x 2800') to a general utility
runway of 75 x 4200'. Due to the site restrictions and the County's
desire to avoid acquisition of privately owned property, a displaced
threshold of 700' was recommended to provide adequate pavement length
and. mitigate off-site impacts. Hakanson Anderson Associates is
currently developing the Airport Zoning Plan-and Ordinance for the
airport.
1
