March 13, 1987
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Ramsey, MN. 55303
Dear Sirs:
This letter is in regards to the meting of March 11, 1987 for the airport.
First of all, we want to tell you that we are proud to live in the City of
Ramsey and that we really.like it here. We live at:
7260-151st Avenue N.W. which as far as we can tell will put us basically on
the boundary of the proposed airport expansion. We did not learn alot at
the meeting as far as how it would affect us.
However, we do want to tell you that we are more in favor of the airport
expansion than having the landfill expanded or having an asphalt company
in our "back yard".
What we would like to know, exactly, if the airport expansion does go through
is:
How will it affect us as far as subdividing our lots when (and if) city water
and sewer come through. From what we understood at the meeting, we would not
be allowed to snMlvide. If we will not be able to --will we be compensated in
some way as far as cost? We do not feel that it is fair for us to bear all
the cost and others in Ramsey will have the privilege of subdividing to help
them with the cost of city sewer and water.
Secondly, one of us in the real estate field and you said that properties would
not depreciate. That is probably true, but you have to look at the fact that
they will not appreciate at the rate they have been. Also, it makes our land
less saleable in the eyes of some potential buyers.
Thirdly, if we decide to improve our properties with remodeling, additions, etc.
what affect will the airport have on our being able to do these types of things?
Thank you for your time and concern in this matter.
tfully,
chard&LaZertp' /(Lucky)
Rebecca LaZert(e/ (Becky)
