Mr. Terry Bladholm
Q. Two parties are interested in their property, what would be
permitted on that property?
R. The specific property in question is currently undeveloped and is
situated 1300-1800' from the beginning of the approach surface
in Zone A. Upon adoption of the zoning ordinance no new develop-
ment would be permitted on that parcel.
The parcel in question is recommended to be acquired under the
approved airport layout plan and, therefore, no building permit
should be issued for the property.
Mr. Duane Lundeen
Q. Part of his property (including structure) lies in Zone B and
some lies in Zone C and inquired how his property was affected.
R. The majority (estimated at 70%) of the parcel is in Zone B and
approximately one-half of the structure is in Zone B. The
existing use would be allowed to continue under the airport
zoning ordinance. Further, only that portion of the property
located in Zone B is subject to the B zone restrictions. That
portion of the structure within the B zone could not be expanded.
The portion outside of the B zone could be expanded subject to
the limitations of height restrictions and the City's underlying
commercial zoning requirements.
Mr. Brad Jensen
Q.
The citizens need more answers regarding sewer and water
improvements and the ability to subdivide.
R. Mr. Jensen lives at 6711 137th Avenue N.W. in the south approach.
None of the residential properties fronting on 137th Ave. N.W.
are located within Zone B and are not subject to the B zone
restrictions. Whether the lots in question could be subdivided
is therefore a question not dependent on airport zoning.
Mr. Ed Hamel
C. Mr. Hamel expressed concern relative to the south approach
crossing power lines, Highway 10 and the railroad tracks.
R. The existing facilities have had an approach across these three
features since 1972. Operations have occurred without an
incident. The proposed improvements provide for adequate
clearances over all traverseways. Obstructions within the
approach areas are recommended to be removed, relocated or
buried.
