March 16, 1987
REr.r"E0
MAR 1 7 1987
Ans'd
Gary Reiman
Ramsey Mayor
Ramsey City Hall
15153 N. W. Nowthen Blvd
Ramsey, MN 55303
I am hopefully a short term resident of Ramsey. I am trying to sell
my house ca 16951 Sodium St. N. W. I am probably going to have to
take less than my house is worth because of what has happened in this
hood. In fact, the realtor's appraiser mentioned the neighbor-
hood lowered the value of or house.
We have complained many tines to the city about junked cars stored slang
Sodium, as well as along Radium, all to no avail. As you turn onto
Sodium St, from 167th, corner house has a junked Studebaker in the back
yard and two junked vans in the front yard. The back yard also has a
couple of junked beds along side of the Studebaker. The muse across
the street has a junked Chevy in the back yard. At corner house (Lidtke)
has all kinds of junk at both ends of his house. The house across from
him has a wrecked car in the yard. One house on Radius (new owner) has
approximately six cars parked all over. (supposedly he was supposed to
go to court, but nothing has happened.)
A11 this tends to ward off prospective buyers for our house. All these
junked cars are stored, I'm sure, in violation of existing city by-laws.
As we are probably going to lose money because of the in action of the
city, I would appreciate a response by you , as Mayor, in writing, what
is going to be dare about this natter.
There are at least three to for more house d.in this same area that could
do alot of cleaning up in their yards.
Robert & Jean Nix
16951 Sodium Street St. N.
