1
1
1
1
1
l
A precedence has already been established within the
City of Ramsey to protect the existing airport for
potential future development. An expansion of the KANO
radio tower was denied due to the existing airport and
potential development. A water tower was proposed on
Sunfish Blvd. and denied in part due to the existing
airport and its potential development.
The Met Council has been copied on all actions taken by
the Ramsey Airport Commission and is fully aware of the
proceedings which have taken place. Additionally they
have been advised of the adverse impact the Landfill
will have on the airport development.
In light of the above and due to the detrimental effect
that any vertical expansion of the existing Sanitary
Landfill would have on the airport development, the
Airport Commission strongly recommends to the City
Council that any requests for vertical expansion of the
Landfill be denied.
Sincerely,
John F. Seibert
Airport Commissioner
JFS/lag
cc: Jack Ippel
Chairman, Ramsey Airport Comm.
10-7
