6.7 Security Fencing <br />It is recommended that security fencing be installed around <br />the perimeter of the airfield and building area. The larger <br />populations in the metropolitan area make this desirable <br />from both safety and security aspects. <br />6.8 Building Area Requirements <br />The existing building area facilities are not sufficient to <br />accommodate projected growth of based aircraft demand, auto <br />parking, and aircraft services. Building area requirements <br />are presented in 5th year, loth year and 20th year periods. <br />Actual staging of development is addressed in later sections <br />of the study. <br />Space requirements for aircraft parking space, arrival - <br />departure facilities, and auto parking are determined by <br />peaking conditions. While historic data is not available at <br />Gateway, it is assumed that activity characteristics are <br />similar to other airports in the state.
