Councilmember McGlone introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #10-04-085 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0865 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM ROBERT SCHILLER FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />AN OVERSIZING OF AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Robert Schiller on March <br />8, 2010 for a conditional use permit to exceed the total amount of accessory structure space <br />permitted on the property generally known as 8700 171St Avenue NW. and legally described as <br />follows: <br />Lot 1, Block 4, Alicia Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br />1. That on March 8, 2010 ,Robert Schiller, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", <br />properly applied for an conditional use permit (the "Permit") to exceed the amount of <br />accessory structure square footage allowed by City Code Section 117-349(d)(14) by 1,186 <br />square feet to allow construction of a 1,600 square foot accessory structure expansion to <br />the existing garage (the "Structure"). <br />2. That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 117-51(b)(3) of the City Code on April 1, 2010 and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Developing. <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.02 acres in size. <br />5. That Section 117-349(d)(14) of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels of land of this <br />size, the total square footage of the main garage and all accessory buildings shall not <br />exceed 2,400 square feet and that oversizing of accessory structures is a conditional use <br />under City Code Section 117-111(c)(5). <br />6. That the Applicant currently has multiple accessory structures on the Subject Property <br />which total 1,970 square feet. These structures are as follows an attached garage <br />consisting of 560 square feet, a detached storage structure totaling 1,200 square feet, a <br />children's play structure consisting of 114 square feet, a second detached accessory <br />
