PUBLIC HEARING

INTRODUCE ORDINANCE TO CORRECT STREET NAME IN EVERGREEN POINT;
CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY
By: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik

Background:

As you may recall, the City just recently approved the final plat of Evergreen Point, a townhome
development in the northwest quadrant of T.H. #47 and Alpine Drive N.W. Soon after
recording, an error in the street name was brought to Staff's attention. Fluorine is designated as a
'Drive' and it should be a 'Street'.

Observations: , ,
Fluorine should be consistently identified throughout the City as a Street. Changing a street
name requires adoption of an ordinance by City Council. No certificates of occupancy have been
issued yet in Evergreen Point; therefore, there is no adverse impact on property owners at this
point. The site location map and proposed ordinance is enclosed for Council review.

Recommendation:

City Staff recommends introduction of the ordinance to correct the street name.

Council Action:

Motion to introduce Ordinance #03- changing Fluorine Drive N.W. to Fluorine Street N.W.
in Evergreen Point.

Review Checklist:

City Attorney
Building Official

CC: 04/22/03

-107-
