Attachment A <br />ORDINANCE #10- <br />CTTY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF 1VIINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING' CHAPTER 117 ARTICLE II DIVISION 8 (SIGNS) OF THE <br />RAMSEY CTTY CODE. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2 AMEND <br />Chapter 117 Article II Division 6 of the Ramsey City Code is hereby amended as follows: <br />Sec. 117-465. -Temporary signs. <br />(a) Temporary signs. aze defined assigns which are erected or displayed for a limited period of time and not affixed to a state <br />building code approved structure. A sign is considered temporary if it is not intended to remain on the property permanently.and <br />has not received a permanent sign permit and/or is not intended to be constructed per the state building code. <br />(I) Duration Temporary signs shall be permitted for up to six weeks per year per pazcel, or per business on multitenan[ <br />business parcels. The six-week limit may be extended up to four weeks if there have been no sign violations in the past <br />year by the entity who erects the sign. <br />- (2) Location Temporary signs must be located fully on private property, with the permission of the property owner. <br />The city will remove any signs ui the public right-of--way, or erected without permission from the property owner. <br />(3) Number. All properties are limited to two temporary signs per parcel. In locations where there aze multiple, <br />businesses on one parcel (a multitenant facility), three signs aze permitted. <br />(4) Sue. Temporary signs shall be limited to 50 square feet in size. <br />- (5) FeePermits and Fees. All temporary sigris a~^ -"~•-•°` `'^^• "•-•'"~°o ^°a `"°shall be required [o obtain a <br />Tentpmurv Simt permit. The Temporary Sien Permit aonlicatioh shall specific the exact times and dates the temporary <br />pazcel or ner business in amulti-tenant facility. The provisions of this division apply to all temporary signs, and <br />appropriate penalties for violationswill be assessed, as outlined in section 117-461. <br />(A) Exemptions ti'om Temporary Sign Permit. Signs less titan fiReen (lil square feet in size and all <br />Temporary Simts in Residential Districts (R-t Residential.
