'(3) Service bay identification signs. Service bay idenfification signs providing direction or instruction to persons using <br />the facility and containing no advertising material of any kind shall be subject to the following: <br />. a. All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br />. b. There shall not be more than one service bay identification sign for each service bay located on the pazcel. <br />c. A service bay identification sign may be located on the outermost wall of any principal building adjacent to <br />a service bay entrance. <br />d. A service bay identification sign shall not project higher than the parapet fine of the wall to which the sign <br />is [o be affixed. <br />(4) Fuel pump island identification sign. FLeI pump island identification signs indicating the Type of service offered; the <br />price of gasoline; and other relevant information; within reason, pertaining to the facility; or direction to persons using <br />the facility shall be subject to the following: The gross surface area of a service island identification signshall be <br />counted against the maximum allowable sign area for the subject parcel. ~ ' <br />(5) Menu board Menu board for drive-up or walls-up lane of adrive-in business are allowed up to a maximum of 50 <br />squaze feet of total signage. Menu boards are allowed a message on one side only and cannot contain an advertising <br />message: <br />(6) Directional signs. <br />a. Directional or instructional signs are permitted in accordance with section 117-463(1). <br />b. Parking lot directional signs designating,pazking area entrances and exits are limited to one sign for each <br />entrance and/or exit and shall not exceed four squaze feet for eachexposed face. PazMng lot duec6onal signs <br />shall not project higher than five feet m height, as measured from the established grade of the parking area to <br />which such signs are accessory. <br />c. Pazking lot instructional signs designating the conditions of use or identifying parking azeas shall not exceed <br />eight square feet and shall not project higher than ten feet in height for wall signs and seven feet in height for <br />ground signs, as measured from the established grade of the pazking area to which such signs are accessory. <br />d. Window signs are restricted to 30 percent of the area of the window in which the sign is to be displayed. <br />(b) Shopping center signs. In accordance with section 117-54, the developer shall submit a sign plan for approval, drawn to scale <br />with elevations, at the time application is made for site ptan approval.
