Parks Supervisor Riverblood noted that the Business Expo event will be held at the same time at <br />the Pact Charter School and shuttle buses will be available to shuttle back and forth to each <br />event. <br />Action: <br />No action necessary <br />Case #3 Nominate Chair and Vice Chair <br />Background: <br />Park Supervisor Riverblood handed out paper ballots to vote on nominating a Chair and Vice <br />Chair position. <br />Vice Chair Shryock was voted unanimously to fill the Chairperson position. The Vice Chair <br />position vote was two for Commissioner Backous, one vote for Commissioner LaMere, one vote <br />for Commissioner Barr and one vote for Commissioner Olsen. Commissioner LaMere <br />respectfully removed his name from consideration and a new vote was taken with the majority <br />vote going to Commissioner Backous for the Vice Chair position. <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated the vacant seat is currently being advertised in the Ramsey <br />resident. <br />Action: <br />No action necessary. <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood updated the Commission on the following items: <br />Amphitheater update on the bidding process for East Meandering Common Park. <br />Farmers Market has received a lot of support. Survey work through the Ameri Corp intern <br />revealed that Thursday night seems to be the favorite night for the market and will probably be <br />held at Rhinestone Commons next to Pact Charter School. <br />An application is in for the MN Art's Board with the hope of it beginning in August on Thursday <br />night at the Amphitheater sight. <br />The Bank who owns the land and the Developer has bids out to complete the Sweetbay Ridge <br />Boardwalk <br />The winter recreation report is 6,652 utilized Central and Ramsey Elementary warming houses <br />which is a 9% attendance increase over last year. <br />Park and Recreation Commission/March 11, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
