Hendricks, Management Intern , City of ~ RAMSEY Background: Staff has been working with Parameters, Inc, to select furniture for the new mid-sized conference room. Staff also requested information from Parameters regarding other furniture needs. The tables selected are of the same style as the Alexander Ramsey Room, with a wood laminate finish. . The chairs selected match those of the Alexander Ramsey Room. Staff contacted three (3) furniture companies and requested quotes for the needed furniture. A spreadsheet detailing the furniture pricing is attached for Council review. Staffhas also attached the detailed quotes from the furniture dealers. In addition to these purchases, staff would also like to purchase a credenza for the COR room. After researching possible credenzas, staff found that it would be more cost-effective to have one custom-built by Milcon, the construction company currently working on the build-out space. Staff has attached two (2) proposals from Milcon for Council review. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends that the tables, tackboards, literature rack and end table be purchased from Parameters, and the chairs from Intereum. Staff also recommends that the credenza with the p-Iam top trimmed in alder be purchased from Milcon. The credenza will be used, in addition to other things, as a serving and storage place for beverages. The p-lam top will best stand up to this use.
