The issuance of permits and the collection of fees shall be as authorized in Minnesota Statutes, 326B.36, except that the application shall be submitted directly to the City of Ramsey. Permit fees shall be assessed for work governed by this code in accordance with the fee schedule adopted by City ordinance annually, or as the City Council may deem necessary. In addition, a surcharge fee shall be collected on all permits for work governed by this code in accordance with Minnesota Statute 16B.70. Any handling or inspection fees will be payable to the City of Ramsey. Sections 105.75-105.100 Reserved SECTION 2. PURPOSE The purpose of this amendment is to establish an electrical inspections program in the City of Ramsey that is administered and enforced by the City. SECTION 3: SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance # 10-XX has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #10-XX to establish an electrical inspections program in the City of Ramsey that is administered and enforced by the City, as permitted in Section 326B.36, subd. 6, of the Minnesota Electrical Act. SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City Charter Section 3.10.
