Our mission is to find responsible, loving homes for re- tired racing greyhounds, and to educate the public on the suitability and availability of greyhounds as pets. Our annual fundraising picnic will be at King's Farm (17151 Baugh St. NW) in Ramsey on June 26 of this year, and we intend to hold a raffle to help us raise funds. I am requesting your permission to do so, and to complete page 2 of the enclosed form LG220 for this purpose. It is my understanding from our phone call earlier this month that upon approval at your city council meeting on June 8, you will forward our application dirctly to: Gambling Control Board 1711 West County Road B, Suite 300 South Roseville, MN 55113 Enclosed are all of the documents required by the State of Minnesota: • LG220 Application for Exempt Permit • IRS letter shoving our parent organization is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation with a group ruling • Letter from oparent organization recognizing our organization as a subordinate • Check for $100.00 Please forward all of these materials to the Gambling Control Board at your earliest convenience after ap- proval by the City of Ramsey. We expect about 100 people at our event. Although it is open to the public, we typically get only members of our organization and their families attending, and a variety of vendors, so our event won't compete with any event that the city may be sponsoring on the same day.
