HRA BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Waiver of Interest and Penalties of RTC Special Assessments <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report. <br />Motion by Commissioner Look, seconded by Commissioner Ramsey, to adopt Resolution <br />#HRA-10-04-004, Waiving the penalties and interest on the special assessment parcels that were <br />abated during the purchase of the RTC foreclosed land parcels on June 26, 2009. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Dehen, Commissioners Look, Ramsey, Elvig, <br />McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Jeffrey. <br />Case #2: Review Branding Logo Design and Next Steps in the Marketing Material <br />Development <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson reviewed the staff report. <br />Diana and Ann. of VyWay presented the logo design and. summarized the next steps in marketing <br />material development. <br />The Commission discussed the logo design. <br />It was the Commission's consensus to get rid of one of the "eyes" on the logo and use the brick <br />red and gold colors. <br />The Commission discussed the marketing material and the pricing of those materials. <br />Councilmembers Look and McGlone expressed concern about the high pricing being charged by <br />VyWay. <br />Motion by Commissioner Elvig, seconded by Commissioner Ramsey, to approve the logo and <br />mazketing materials for $35,000. <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Ramsey stated he was happy with what VyWay had done and <br />right now did the HRA have another route. Chairperson Dehen did not believe the City would <br />get $60,000 in value and when would the spending towards this stop. He stated the HRA needed <br />to figure out how much should be spent. Commissioner Ramsey stated the question was how <br />much more time would the HRA spend when the HRA did not have any more time to find <br />someone else. He noted this had to get done. Commissioner Look stated he was concerned <br />about control. He noted he had been in this business for many years and he knew there was a <br />spectrum of price and there were places that were a fraction of the cost being chazged by <br />VyWay. Commissioner Wise stated he was all for saving money and asked Mr. Lazan how this. <br />pricing compared. Mr. Lazan responded this pricing was middle of the road, but there was value <br />in creating a system. He noted the majority of the content for the booth could be done by him. <br />He believed a website was important.
