Scope of Work <br />(see Proposal Instructions, section I, for further information) <br /> <br />Contract # Project Name: Ramsey Star Express Commuter Coach Transit Service <br /> <br />[Note: where this Scope of Work references an agreement, it refers to the agreement to be <br />entered into with the selected contractor for providing transit services as described in this Scope <br />of Work and such provisions are a part of this Scope of Work.] <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has been operating the Ramsey Star Express Commuter Coach Transit <br />Service successfully since January 22,2007. <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE <br /> <br />In this RFP, the City of Ramsey is soliciting proposals for the following transit service. The <br />service to be provided is summarized as follows: <br /> <br />Ramsey Star Express Commuter Coach Transit Service <br /> <br />Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility - Minneapolis Transit Service (5th Street garage) - Weekday <br />peak express service operating from 5:20 am to 8:15 am and 3:35 pm to 6:35 pm (4 trips am, 4 <br />trips pm) between City of Ramsey and downtown Minneapolis. The service will need to provide <br />three MCI motor coach type transit buses (or approved equal) for operation of this service. <br /> <br />The agreement resulting from this RFP will be for a term of two years commencing October 1, <br />2010, subject to termination as specified below. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL PACKAGE AND COST PROPOSAL FORMS <br /> <br />The above service is currently contracted as an extension of service that was put in place in 2007. <br />The service has been successful and the Ramsey City Council is now soliciting proposals for a 2 <br />year contract term with three possible 1- year contract extensions. Based on the proposals <br />received, a procurement decision will be made regarding which proposal is most advantageous to <br />the City of Ramsey. The City of Ramsey has the right to reject any or all proposals. <br /> <br />Cost Proposal forms to be submitted by a proposer are attached as Exhibit B to this Scope of <br />Work. Further information regarding the cost proposal forms will be found below under the <br />heading "COST PROPOSAL PRICING INFORMATION." <br /> <br />The cost proposal forms described above are also included in this RFP in electronic format as an <br />Excel Worksheet. NOTE: ALL COST PROPOSAL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN <br />BOTH PAPER AND ELECTRONIC FORMAT. <br />
