Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #10-OS-105 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #10-OS (BITUMINOUS OVERLAY OF BROOKFIELD & WHITE PINES ESTATES) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted Feruary 9, 2010, a feasibility study for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #10-OS (Bituminous Overlay of Brookfield & White Pine Estates) and, WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted a resolution on February 9, 2010, fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement. WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held on March 9`h 2010, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, the City has waited the required sixty (60) days following the public hearing. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed on May 11, 2010. 2) City Engineer Steve Jankowski is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. 3) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications.
